Time flies!

Hey readers,

How are you doing? It's been a few months since I last posted anything on here and I miss this. Sometimes its good to take a little break, even from things that we love to do so that we come back stronger and brighter, am I right? I feel like a lot of people take a break just when they get so overwhelmed by whatever it is they need a break from. But I think that taking some time to yourself is the best thing you can do for you.

Hey, did you ever look back at your life and thought to yourself "how the hell did I get past all that"? I swear it is a miracle. How is it that we live every single day following a "regular" routine and nothing really changes but when we look back at our life after a year, we can write a story based on it. Day by day nothing changes but after a year you are a whole other person. Isn't that weird?

I think that we just close our eyes or fall asleep to wake up the next day hoping that everything will be normal. I guess that's how life works. We live every single day hoping for a better tomorrow and in that hope we plan our future. Basically, nothing is guaranteed. I mean, no one thought that one day we would be forced to stay home for our safety and he we are. What is happening right now in this world is something that no one expected.

Life is full of surprises, good and bad. One day you might be looking for a job and the next day you might get employed. Or, you might be working 40 hours and the next thing you know, bam, you are jobless. It goes both ways. Sometimes, you love your life and the next minute something might happen and you'll want to kill yourself. Well, that's life. Some days are better than others.

Take blogging for example, did you ever thought you'd become a blogger? You probably just wanted to try this thing out and here you are with a website, writing anything that you want. You don't know even know if you will keep doing this for the rest of your life. Or, maybe you'll make a career out of this? Who knows! Yet, you might have a few posts lined up for the month or a few blog ideas in your mind.

Like I said earlier, no one expected what is happening with the world right now. That is because life is unexpected. Even if we have our own little expectations, there is no certainty. Anything can happen anytime.

Let's talk!

What is one thing that changed in your life right now? What is one thing you do now that you didn't a few months or years ago? Any little change. It could be anything like cooking, exercising, driving to work instead of walking? Let me know in the comments!

~ Thank you for reading and happy blogging! ~

  1. Our life clearly has totally changed thanks to the stupid Covid-19 going around. Even although we had to cancel travel and adjust our life, there is a certain calmness and peace in having four kids at home, three of which learn on line and the new rhythm of life and see the way the kids have grown up and are interacting in a very positive way. Like daily group workout sessions. And the kids each take dinner responsibility one weeknight, so that takes a lot of pressure of me for trying to come up with a meal every night. Life is good, even with all the changes, but it still feels like living in a weird dream.

  3. Despite COVID-19, my day-to-day life hasn't really changed that much as I'm a remote worker anyway. Although I'm enjoying spending more time with my daughter, as she's homeschooling atm. We've been doing lots of baking! :)

  5. I'm a graduating student, so I'd say the biggest change for me has been going back home long term and either not having a graduation or having an online one. Most of my classes were remote anyway, so that part hasn't changed too much, but now I'm wondering how the job search will go if we're all stuck at home.

  7. Great post! It's certainly a crazy and unsettling time, but it's been a good chance to slow down and reflect on what's important in life. Simplify things down :)

    1. Exactly, even though it is weird, there are some positive things that came out from this. People are able to spend more time on themselves and their families. Working from home is easier for some but harder for others. Thank you, Matthew! :D

  9. Awww welcome back!! Nice to see you again ❤️ It’s crazy how things can change so drastically from one minute to the next. A few months ago I never imagined having a little baby and keeping her sheltered from our families... and things I miss—just the basic comforts of a life pre quarantine: like running out to take care of errands. And grocery shopping! I miss that so much!!

Hope you are staying well and safe! Xoxo

  10. I don't think I need to go to the terrace for any sunlight today. I got my share of Vitamin D here. It was such a pleasant post to read, although, it is time for me to go to sleep but I feel like going about my day.

I research and write about serious subjects (Try to) that I look for reads like this one to make my day. This one definitely did.
    Awesome work!

Stay safe, stay healthy - :)

  12. During this lockdown things in my life have changed a lot. Most of them I enjoy and some are negative. My partner is working from home fulltime and me part time. I tend to work out at home daily, go for walks work on my blog, and learn new things. The downside is more anxiety due to covid and what the future holds.

    1. Yeah, of course there are some positive and negative things about the pandemic. But I am glad that you are able to work out at home and have fresh air too. I know, it is easy to get anxious at the moment. I hope you feel better and hope this all ends soon. Take care of yourself, Darina! :)

  13. I'm eating better during the pandemic. No more drive-thru meals on the go, because I don't go anywhere! I'm giving my type 2 diabetes management the attention it deserves, and I'm loving the results. Now, with the A to Z Challenge finished, I'm also getting back to reading more blogs and I love that, too. Glad I could finally end up in your space!

  14. If I think long term I can apply this to so much. In terms of covid, my life hasn't changed much at all as I work from home anyway, the only big adjustment is having someone else working from home too x

  17. This is so true! I'm glad you were able to take the space you needed. I recently came back from a short break after feeling the burnout, it was very beneficial. Right now the biggest change I'm facing is learning to be a homeschooling teacher to my 4 kids. Crazy times we live in. And Honestly my blog is a new adventure (I started it 5 months ago).
